Laura Wold was born in Hastings, Nebraska and grew up in Rochester, Minnesota. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, majoring in Biology, then continued her studies at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Laura is a practicing small animal veterinarian in Sheridan, Wyoming where she lives with her husband, son and three dogs. She was inspired to write her first children’s book, Magic Pajamas, when her daughter was a pre-schooler with an imagination that knew no bounds. Her children inspire her still. Besides writing, Laura enjoys making music, gardening, cooking, and spending time in the mountains.
